I’ve been working on the website itself and my side project(startup).
Nothing special, the startup is in the early stage, so far we have done DNS testing with bind9 technology, which is not suitable for further but no we know it’s working. The client-server part was partly done with Python and Server’s listener was build on Flask, for now, that’s all I can say about it. If the product will be ready for testing purposes – I will share a link and tell you more about it.
I’m moving slowly with my website design and user experience, it’s awful. It has no features, main colors are not attractive, there is absolutely no internal link building(which means no SEO).
Little by little, I will switch this.
Today I have added the new right-side widget “about the author”, which I think is very important, because when the client/visitor know you personally – the trust levels are higher and also it’s the way to show that people matters to you, I appreciate every visitor I have and I believe that all the relationships are building on trust. I need to know that people have trust in me, that I’m not hiding, not fooling them.
As you can see, I’ve added the “find more about bro” button at the bottom of the widget, it’s the internal link to my about page, which I rename to “summary”. Why? because “about” is a default name, everyone using it. “DON’T BE A DEFAULT” is my credo.
+added the link to the “Journey” path on this page: https://hrekov.com/summary/, so it’s like the first second-tier link on the website.
As far as I know, 3-tiers links are still actual nowadays, for someone who did not know what is it: This structure has the minimum amount of links possible between the homepage and any given page. This is helpful because it allows link equity (ranking power) to flow throughout the entire site, thus increasing the ranking potential for each page. This structure is common on many high-performing websites (like Amazon.com) in the form of category and subcategory systems.
